Afif Hamid is an associate at Belmore Neidrauer LLP. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, Afif articled at a full service national law firm where his work focused primarily on intellectual property litigation, particularly in the pharmaceutical patent context.

Afif obtained an LL.B. degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008. During law school, he was awarded first place in the first year Moot competition. He was also a participant in the 14th annual VIS International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria in 2007. At the end of his second year, Afif summered with the in-house legal department of one of Canada’s largest banks. Prior to attending law school, Afif obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Toronto in 1999, and had a five-year experience as a Human Resources Analyst at a major telecommunications company.

Afif is a member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC).
