Marian Wolanski is an associate at Belmore Neidrauer LLP practicing in the area of intellectual property litigation, with a focus on pharmaceutical patent litigation.  She has a technical background in the life sciences area, having completed a graduate degree in molecular biology.  Marian has assisted on a number of Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations proceedings and patent infringement actions before the Federal Court.  Marian has also assisted in the prosecution of patents and in providing opinions regarding the patenting of various technologies, particularly in the area of biotechnology.

Marian received an LLB from the University of Windsor in 2007 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2008.  While attending law school, Marian completed a clerkship at the Provincial Court, was the managing editor of the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues and volunteered at a legal aid clinic.

Prior to entering into the practice of law, Marian completed a Biology degree, Honours in Genetics, at The University of Western Ontario.  She also conducted scientific research in a developmental genetics laboratory at the University of Windsor where she completed her M.Sc. and continued to work as a research associate.  She has contributed to projects related to brain, heart and eye development and has co-authored several publications in scientific journals on these topics.
