Michal practices intellectual property law with a focus on patent disputes in the areas of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. He has experience with both actions and applications under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations and has worked with diverse subject matter including drugs, vaccines, modified organisms and diagnostic methods.

Michal received a J.D. from the University of Toronto. Before entering law school, he received a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biochemistry. Michal’s professional memberships include the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Michal was admitted to practice in Ontario in 2003 and in New York in 2008.
