Michal’s practice is focused on intellectual property disputes, including patents, trademarks, copyright, industrial designs and contractual matters involving intellectual property.

Michal has experience with all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation to enforcement of monetary judgments. His experience extends over a broad range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, vaccines, agricultural products, computer-implemented inventions, oil and gas technologies, and consumer products. Michal also assists with advisory matters, such as freedom to operate opinions, validity opinions, and agreements involving intellectual property rights.

Michal received his law degree from the University of Toronto. Before that, he received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in biochemistry. His master’s thesis was focused on nuclear hormone receptors.
